In this post, you will have to work in pairs. The aim of this post is to create a character (avatar) using  https://www.voki.com/ First, you will need to choose a character; then, his or her appearance and clothes, and, finally, a background.  After designing your avatar, you will have to put him or her a voice. You can do this by choosing a voice and writing what you want him or her to say or recording your voices. You are free to choose between both options. The message doesn't need to be very long, 4-5 sentences are okay. You are also free to choose the content of the message. Remember!  It's a pair task, so it's important to work in a collaborative and cooperative way. Two minds can get more ideas than one!

In this post we will talk about animals. Do you like them? There are plenty of them all over the world, some live in the jungle, others live in farms or even with us! Those animals that live at home are known as pets. In this task we will share what we know about animals. You will have to write about your favourite animal. If you have a pet, you can also write about it.  You will need to answer the following questions: - What is your favourite animal or what's the name of your pet? - Is it big or small? - What colour is it? - What can it do? - Any interesting fact? Don't forget to include a photo! 😉 Here you have an example of Aussie, my cat. AUSSIE  😸 Aussie is my cat. It's not very big and it's black, grey and white. Its eyes are yellow and its nose is pink. It's got a very special black stain on it. It can jump very high and run very fast as well. Did you know that cats can smell 14 times greater than humans?

In this first post of our blog we will decide and establish ten rules for our classroom. In groups of three, you will list ten rules you think are important to have a good atmosphere in class and helpful for our learning process, for example: - We will respect the speaking turns. - We will arrive in time to class. Once all of you have completed the task, we will, all together, think of the best ten rules and sign the class contract. Signing the contract means respecting the rules during the whole school year, so you must think of them carefully and commit to respect them!

Summer is over and a new school year has just started. This blog will be another useful tool  that will help us discover new ways of learning and share all the work and activities we do in our English classroom. All of us have something to teach as well as something to learn, so what is better than sharing our ideas and knowledge? To start this blog I want you to make a brief introduction about yourself (your name and what you like doing) and write about why you think this blog can be useful for our English lessons.

This blog's aim is to provide students with a more active role in their learning process, as well as encourage motivation and make them aware of their progress. It is also an ICT tool for their daily work and a portfolio where all their tasks are uploaded.
